Our guests say...

  • "Had a great time at Bawd Hall. Me and my friend stayed in the huge room, the bed was so warm. The little lambs near by are v. sweet." - WL, London
  • "The children are hooked on walking now. They experienced the ‘hill that never ends’ in Barrow to Causey Pike and wanted more!" - AC, London
  • "The house is huge and great. I don’t want to leave. The week has gone so quick." - ED, Edinburgh
  • "3 year old D loved the stream in the garden and talking to the sheep & cows. A wonderful week. Thank you!!" - JL
  • "A wonderful house for a family holiday – three generations. A great house for ‘sardines’ and ‘murder’. Not forgetting L the dog." - RD, Devon
  • "Another great stay at Bawd Hall. We’ve grown by 2 this year, but found the place baby friendly too!" - JG, Hampshire
  • "Three generations of our family (and dog) have just spent a fantastic week together at Bawd Hall. The garden proved exciting for children and the views and walks from the house are spectacular. Lots of room for children to play and make as much noise as they want to as no near neighbours." - LL, Birmingham

There are plenty of ways to keep the kids amused. Aside from the wide range of activities to tire out children of all ages (see Activity Holidays), they will especially enjoy:

  • wildlife and animal parks;
  • the seaside and aquariums;
  • lots of activities in the Whinlatter Forest Park;
  • activity centres which cater for multi-age activities such as pony trekking;
  • Bawd Hall’s own table tennis.

They also enjoy just messing about at Bawd Hall: playing in the garden, going down to thebeck, watching the wildlife. But please take care to look after toddlers on the steep slopes and by water.
